Shark Teeth!

Well, it's about a week and a half until Adrianne turns six, and today it totally hit me that my baby isn't a baby anymore.

Earlier today Adrianne told me that her mouth was hurting a little bit. I asked her to show me where it was hurting and she pointed to the bottom two center teeth. I went over and looked at it and saw this:

So of course I started freaking out a little. I was so worried that my kid was going to have two rows of teeth! And then I had visions of VERY LARGE dentist bills because if the baby teeth didn't fall out on their own we'd need to get the pulled. However, I did a quick google search and found out that it's VERY common for the adult teeth to come in behind the baby teeth and the adult teeth SHOULD push forward and the others fall out. Several sites even suggested to wiggle the baby teeth to help them fall out more quickly. So I did a quick wiggle test on her teeth and found out that the baby teeth are getting loose (she hadn't mentioned they were loose), so I'm encouraging Adrianne to wiggle the teeth to help them fall out on their own.

Now I know that there's no denying it. After all, how can I continue to think of my little girl as my baby when she's got ADULT teeth. Good grief, this all makes me feel old!
