One down, a bunch more to go!

I just finished my first Christmas gift! Ha ha! I guess I meant it when I said I was going to start early.

We've had a pretty good week around here. Matt has been busy substituting all week and was actually pretty happy that it was Friday and he'll get a few days break. He has been subbing for the same class for the past three days and will have two more days with them next week as well. Turns out that he is covering for a teacher who came down with the swine flu! So he's had to be very vigilant about staying healthy. It would seem that our area is already being pretty hard hit by the swine flu, so there are plenty of opportunities for Matt to substitute.

Since Matt has been working at the same school all week, he is starting to get to know a lot of the teachers, school secretaries, and the principal and vice principals at this school. He really likes the school and how it is set up, so he's hoping that he will continue to make a good impression and get a good foot in the door so later on down the road when some positions open up, he'll already have some connections there.

I'm happy that it's the weekend. Matt is going to work on a couple of side projects he's been working on and I'm sure the girls and I will find something to keep us busy!
