Life in the Fast Lane

Well, things are definitely NOT slow around here right now!

Matt has been busy with his summer teaching institute. He's even doing the morning teaching sessions right now. So far he is liking it, although I think sometimes he's not very confidant of his ability to teach those kids. He's been applying to jobs, but so far hasn't found anything. We are still REALLY hoping that he finds something so that we can go to NC to visit family once his institute lets out.

The girls and I have been busy with VBS. Adrianne is LOVING getting to go to all her classes and making new friends. She's already been pestering me about kids she wants to invite to her birthday party! (which is still really far off!)

Riley goes to her own little class and her favorite part of VBS is the songs that they are learning to sing on stage during Friday's session. They have little motions that go with the songs to help the kids remember the words to the songs and Riley loves to sing and do the motions.

Emmaline has spent her first days in the nursery away from mommy and so far has done amazingly! I was really nervous that she would just cry the whole time I was gone, since she always seems to be such a momma's girl, but so far the nursery workers say that she only cries when she is tired or hungry. Of course, they could just be lying to make me feel better, but if they are it's WORKING! So usually I go and do my lesson with my class, then sneak off to feed Emmaline and put her down for a nap, then go back and finish up the rest of the VBS session with my class.

Matt, the girls and I are all getting REALLY excited about our family that is coming to visit us next week! I can't wait for them to get here and I know that we are all going to have a blast!
