Contrary to what Kermit the Frog believes, sometimes it IS easy being green.....
Since we've moved here, there are several things that I've been trying to do to "green my routine". These are only small little things, but I want to show my girls that it IS important to take care of our world and that sometimes looking out for mother nature even helps you save a buck or two!
I've started purchasing one reusable shopping bag every time I buy groceries. Eventually, I hope to totally ditch those pesky plastic grocery bags! I actually even like using the reusable ones BETTER because they hold SO much more weight and you don't have to worry about the bags ripping or tearing like I did with the plastic bags. And some stores have some REALLY cute bags.
The other thing that I've been doing is trying to hang my laundry on the line to dry. The weather here is usually pretty hot and dry (now that we are past our monsoon season!) so it's perfect to hang laundry. With three small kids, we do A LOT of laundry, so I'm hoping we'll save some money from not running our dryer quite so much.
Hee hee, Trevor, do you recognize the lines???? When you finally take them back home with you I'll have to go buy my OWN rope!
