The Dog Days of........Spring?

It's only the beginning of May still but the temperature around here has been in the mid 90s for over a week, and it is supposed to stay that way for the foreseeable future. Yes it is HOT!!! And it can also be quite humid some days. Even if it's cloudy outside, there are times when it feels uncomfortably warm. I'm starting to wonder just how hot it will get when it is actually SUMMER!

So, in order to help us all cool off a bit, I went to the store and bought a little wadding pool. It's nothing big or fancy, but it helps the girls to spend some time outside without suffering from heat stroke. They seem to enjoy playing in it, and it can keep them occupied for at least a couple of hours. So, I think it has been worth EVERY penny that I spent on it. ($7)

Living the life of Riley

Unfortunately, Emmaline doesn't get to go use it yet. She can't sit up on her own yet so I'd have to hold her up the whole time and since she's under 6 months old, I'm not supposed to stick sunscreen on her. Well, I don't like the idea of her baking out there in the sun with out the sunscreen on, so while Adrianne and Riley are playing in the pool, Emmaline and I stay inside. She plays in her little exersaucer and I sit next to the window with it open so I can keep tabs on both Emmaline and the girls in the pool.
