Yesterday was Matt's birthday so I had a lot to get done.
Of course Matt had to go to work, so the girls and I had our usual morning of schoolwork followed by lunch. We are getting into quite a groove with school. In fact we're doing so well with getting everything finished quickly, that I am even considering adding in more.
After lunch, though, we took a break so I could work on getting some laundry put away, cleaning up the kitchen, and then making Matt's birthday cake and prepping his birthday meal. He chose portabella fajitas for dinner along with an ice cream cake.
And let me tell you, it's TOUGH working on assembling an ice cream cake when it's as hot as it is here. It was rather difficult to work quickly enough so that it all didn't melt and make a horrendous mess everywhere. But I got it done and let me tell you, IT WAS YUMMY! And a bonus was that I didn't have to turn the oven on and heat up the whole kitchen!
So we enjoyed a nice meal as a family and Matt got to open up a few gifts the girls had prepared for him. Adrianne made him a "family book" so he could print out photos of everyone in our family. Riley gifted him a fake snake and tarantula she had purchased a while ago at the dollar store. Emmaline colored a card (with help from Adrianne).
Afterwards we put the kids to bed and enjoyed a movie together. So all in all, not TOO eventful of a night, but not too shabby.

Beverly mentioned today that you had a blog. HOW have I not known about your blog?! I've just been reading through, catching up on your life. It's nice to know I have a place where I can read up on the Craig family. We love & miss you guys, and we HATE that we are always out of town when you guys are in town. Maybe one day we will get to see you all again :)
