At 9 months 3 weeks and 3 days....

We have a walker!




Now in all fairness, he has taken up to three steps a time or two before, but all by "accident" in that he didn't realize he wasn't holding onto something else for support. And for at least a week I've know that he COULD walk, he just didn't know he could do it yet. We've had lots of practice while holding onto mommy's (or sister's fingers). He was getting so steady and speedy while holding onto us that I just knew he'd be able to walk on his own. So I tried holding only one hand while standing beside him (as opposed to behind or in front of him) and sure enough he walked clear across the living room like that.

But today was the first day where he took five or six steps to me, on his own, repeatedly.

I am so proud of him!
