Well, we are all back from our holiday adventures. It sure was a treat getting to see all of our family and totally worth the long drive(s). Of course our kids did wonderfully in the car so that always makes it easier to decide to make the long trips out!
As always, our kids, Matt and myself got so many wonderful gifts that I was convinced that I was going to have to mail stuff back to our house in order to get it all there. But with some clever packing and sending just a few things back with my in-laws, we managed to avoid the post office this go around. Hopefully by the next time we make the trip our car will be sporting some new roof racks and cargo storage, which will make for a less cramped ride and packing much less tricky.
Since we have been home I am trying to get caught back up on all the house stuff like laundry and taking down the Christmas decorations. It's always a little sad taking things back down, but I suppose it's better than the bewildered stares I'd get if I left them up.
Matt started back to work on Monday for a teaching planning day and the girls and I started school today (Tuesday). So it's back to the old grind.
Since I didn't get to see many of you for New Year's, I want to wish everyone a happy, healthy, and BLESSED New Year! Among my (many) resolutions is to be more consistent at the blog, so hopefully I will be posting with some frequency from here on out.
Maxton's daily mission is to see just how many things he can get himself into!
She did it! Riley can now ride a bike. She has also become quite the avid reader and DEVOURS books.
Adrianne is one of the best big sister's around. She is currently learning to conquer cursive writing!
So much sweetness and sassiness all wrapped up in one package! Emmaline has now started preschool!
