Today for the first time Emmaline said the word "funny". And she said it clear as day. Of course it took Adrianne, Riley and I all by complete surprise so we started laughing. Which then made Emmaline laugh and repeat "funny" to get us to laugh some more. It was really cute.
I'm making more progress on the bed. I had actually taken a little break from working on it for the weekend. But today I actually started applying the top coat. I need to do at least 2-3 coats of lacquer and I have to sand in between each coat.
The rental car has to go back tomorrow, so until Matt and I get out and actually go car shopping, we are down to one car. I don't mind so much because I HATE driving Matt's car to begin with and I don't have any "must do" plans over the next week and a half. Hopefully, even though it is the beginning of the school year for Matt (which means he's working a lot), we will find a day when we can go out and test drive some things and really decide what we'd like to purchase for our next car.
(As a side note, I don't think I ever mentioned on here that the insurance company did in fact deem our car totaled, so we were sent a check for the title, hence the need to car shop.)
Other than that, it's been kind of quiet around here. It's a nice change of pace, although I know it won't last very long.
