We're BACK!

It's been a whirlwind the past three weeks. The Christmas season has now come and gone.

Our family had a FANTASTIC time on our massive road trip across the eastern half of the United States. All in all, we traveled through 13 different states and a total of 48 hours worth of driving time. My girls are all such troopers and did SO wonderfully the entire time in the car, even on our marathon 16 hour driving days. I felt rather proud of myself and my car packing skills since we had SO much cargo stuffed into our little Corolla, not to mention the three kids, two adults and one dog riding along inside the car! Seriously, it was almost comical how much we tow along for trips and I'm sure that our family must have looked like a clown car, packed to the brim.

We were all so blessed and everyone got so many wonderful gifts. The girls have been spoiled rotten and have had a wonderful time playing with all their new toys they scored for Christmas. But by FAR the best Christmas present that we got was the opportunity to visit all our family and friends that we love so much. It was REALLY hard to say goodbye and leave again, but eventually it had to be done.

So now we begin to get back to get back into the swing of things. It's a daunting task but it's necessary. The girls and I have been diving back into school everyday, Matt has been piddling around the house and trying to pick up substitute jobs, and we're all attempting to get the house back in order.
