Emmaline's WALKING!!!!

Yes the day has finally arrived.

On Saturday January 9, 2010 Emmaline took her first steps. And yes I mean STEPS. Seriously, Matt said that she took like 5 in a row on her 1st attempt. Unfortunately for me, I missed the momentous occasion because I was in the kitchen cooking our dinner while Matt was in the living room watching the girls. So he was able to witness her first steps. However she did walk to me later on that evening so I got to see her walking too.

Ever since that night she's been walking more and more everyday and you can really tell her confidence is starting to build in her new found ability to get around. Of course she still frequently falls, but the majority of the time she at least attempts to walk where she wants to go until she falls and then she finishes the rest of her journey by crawling. She's also taking more steps in a row before she falls and preforming cool party tricks like shuffling to the side rather than walking simply forward. What can I say, we raise over-achievers in this house!

So now a new chapter has opened in both Emmaline's life: Toddler Hood.
