she got caught playing in bed instead of napping!
While the girls were supposed to be napping, I had to take Emmaline to go and get her 4 month shots. To be honest, I was dreading it a little bit. It's just so hard to sit there and hold your baby while they cry as someone pokes them in the legs and arms with sharp needles containing medicines that sting going in, and then you know they'll probably feel crummy the rest of the day. But she was such a brave little girl. She cried for all of two minutes after she got the shots. In fact, by the time we left the building, you would never even know that she had shots at all.
Her shirt says it all!
Matt has been busy working on our new church's web site. He's been working extra hard on it, and it's starting to look really good. He's been learning all sorts of new tricks to make it look really well done. I'm very proud of him, and hopefully he'll finish it up soon so you all can see what a good job he's done. He's hoping that by designing this site, he'll begin to build a portfolio to show people interested in having web sites designed for their business or organization. He's thinking the money that he earns designing web sites on the side would help supplement his teaching salary (or tide us over the summer while he's completing the Texas Teaching Fellows program). We'll see if that actually happens, but he enjoys web design, so it's something to keep him occupied. He's also been very busy studying for his TExES exam, which is the test he must pass before he is eligible to teach in a classroom. He has his first practice exam this Saturday (4/18) and the actual test is on May 5th. So between the web site, and studying, he basically has been parked in front of his computer for most of the day.
Hard at work!
He does take time out to play with the girls. Tonight they had a great game of indoor soccer going. We have a very large living room, which is perfect for horseplay and just plain old being wild in general. The girls had a blast. I tried to take pictures of them playing together, but they were so wound up that all I could capture was blurry messes. Oh well.
