For years I have had friends commenting how different boys and girls are. And I agree, they are, but I've never had the chance to witness so many of the differences up close on a regular basis.
Ever since Maxton has been born, people constantly ask me if I notice the differences now that there's actually a boy in our bunch. And to tell you the truth, up until now, there really hasn't been TOO much different between Max and the girls.
But let me tell you, now that Max is getting a little older BOY is is apparent that he is a BOY!
For starters, he just has a much stronger drive to MOVE and GO! He always wants to be doing something and keeps advancing from one physical milestone to the next at a very rapid pace. He just learned to climb on top of things.
As I mentioned yesterday, he is also very advanced at problem solving. His little mind just loves to figure out the way things work. And he is DELIGHTED by NOISE and GADGETS. Some of his favorite toys are the ones that make a lot of noise and he is constantly trying to commandeer remotes, cell phones and computers.
Another thing I've been surprised by is how much this kid loves balls. He will walk around holding one, then throw it, chase it down and do it all over again. And doing so gives him so much glee!
Like most other males I know, he LOVES to be naked. The fewer clothes, the better. He relishes any time I let him wander around diaper-less (which isn't that much since doing so is such a dangerous proposition!).
And lastly, he gets STINKY! He has always been a hot natured child (I often call him sweaty-head because when he over heats his hair will get all wet from perspiration) and now that he is getting more active by the minute, I'm noticing that he starts smelling like sweat if I don't bathe him frequently.
I love my son!
