We had a wonderful long weekend with Trevor and Linda here. It was so nice getting to visit with them. They spoiled the kids rotten (like good grandparents) and Trevor even managed to teach Adrianne to ride a bike in three days! I'm so proud of her. Riley was being a little more hesitant, but I think if we keep working on it together, she'll be riding around in no time too.
But then Trevor and Linda left on Wednesday with the two older girls to head to Arizona for one of Trevor's continuing education classes. The girls will be gone until late Sunday night and I would be lying if I didn't admit that I miss those two so much! They are such a big help to me during the day, and the house just seems SO quiet without them around. Even Emmaline is missing them. Everyday she has said, "Adrianne and Riley in Arizona." and, "I miss my friends." Of course it just about breaks my heart when she says things like that, so I admit that I have been spoiling her a bit. She even got an ice cream cone for a snack one day!
So while I know my girls are having a blast with their grandparents, I can't wait until they come home!
