The Beginning of the End

I'm REALLY in for it. And soon, I can tell.

Max can now roll both ways with relative ease. He's also mastered rotating around in circles when he's on his belly. Between the combination of the rolling and rotating, I'm already constantly repositioning him back to the CENTER of the floor blankets he plays on, as he keeps migrating off to the edges. He is determined to GET AROUND.

*sigh*

I seriously thought I had at least another three more months before he became "mobile".

So gone are my carefree days of setting him down in one spot and knowing he would stay in that same spot (give or take a few inches) if I was to step away. Gone are the days when I don't have to worry about the 1000+ small toys the girls play with daily that they drag out into the living room, which have overnight now become dangerous choking hazards for my boy. And gone are the days where I can get away with vacuuming the floors once a week.

I suppose I should bump "Baby-proof a portion of the living room" up on my to do list.
