Packages!

Well, it's already day three of my Advent countdown.

Yesterday was a busy day. First off, the girls and I went out to wrangle up some more supplies for all the Christmas presents that I've been working on. In addition to all the gifts I'm trying to finish making before we skip town, I've also got to plan Christmas table decorations (think centerpiece, place settings, etc.) for my MOPS group's Christmas party. So I've got a lot going on!

Then later, the girls and I had to go to church so I could help watch the kiddos for the Wednesday night activities. I have so much going on right now that I really would not go if I wasn't getting paid to watch the children, but since I am (and since we need the money) I don't have a choice. But the girls have fun getting to play with all their friends, so I guess it's not so bad.

Matt actually had a job yesterday, so he didn't come with us to church. Matt has been picking up jobs and has stuff lined up through the middle of next week. This has been a huge relief for me since he spent only two or three days working in the past TWO weeks. He has also been busy applying for the few jobs that have been popping open. Of course the open positions are few and far between, but hopefully something will work out soon.

Anyway, when we got back home, Matt showed the girls that they had received a package from my parents. My parents sent a HUGE box of goodies, most of which I haven't showed to the girls yet. I figure I'll spread the surprises out over a few days. Inside the box was the girls Christmas ornaments, a new Christmas movie to watch, some stickers, and three stuffed animals that are SUPER cute.

Oh and also in the box was a BIRTHDAY present for Emmaline. Seriously, my baby is going to be ONE in one more week!
