Little Builder

Alright so most of you know that Adrianne loves to draw. I'm continually amazed by how good her drawings are and everyday it would seem that she only gets better. Now I can't draw to save my life. It's not uncommon for my kids to look at a picture of something I drew and not be able to even figure out what I was attempting to draw. So having my six year old be better at drawing than I am is a little humbling to say the least. (Although to be honest, I hope that this is just the first thing that she can do better than me.)

One thing that Adrianne and Riley used to have at our old house was a "club house" which their grandmother had worked very hard building from scratch. And because they have such a wonderful grandma, she even let the girls participate in the construction of the little play house. The girls got to do all sorts of fun thinks like hammer (a little) and paint and they LOVED it.

And apparently, they still remember the process. About a month ago (I know, late posting this!) Adrianne brought me a brown paper sack with some drawings on it. It was her material list that she said we needed to go to Lowe's and pick up so we could build a new club house for the girls. I was very impressed with her list, so although I explained to her that we couldn't just go building new playhouses here, I wanted to share her plans with you all.
Master Shopping List.

Two cans of paint

Two doors.

Six boxes of screws.....yup still working on writing the #6!

Oh and I didn't get a close up shot of the rest, but apparently we also needed 101 pieces of wood (2x4s), a large wooden square for the bottom, and one window.
