Well, I've gone and done it again and neglected this poor little blog.
There has been a steady stream of activity around these parts.
Spring Break wasn't that long ago and we enjoyed a nice visit from Trevor and Linda. It was quite nice because Matt also had the week off, so we were able to spend the entire week together. However, the week was over all too quickly and we once again found ourselves saying, "Goodbye."
After that, the kids and I traveled to Dallas to visit with my grandparents. My mom and Grady came down as well, so my children received "Round 2" of grandparent spoiling. Again we had a fabulous time and it was so nice to see everyone.
Since we have been home, I have been working on squaring away our lesson plans for next year. I have already ordered and received the majority of the curricula and materials we will be using next school term, so now it is just a matter of shoring up the remainder of the things we still need. For the most part, we will be sticking with the same materials we have been using this year, however we are also adding some new subjects in, as well as replacing our spelling curriculum, as it just wasn't working well for Adrianne. Over all I'm quite excited to start using our new stuff!
It's difficult not to get ahead of myself yet, and remember that we must first finish THIS school year before we can move on. So we continue with our studies. However Adrianne and Riley are set to finish most of their current courses by early May.
I have also added Emmaline into the mix, and we have begun doing some preschool work together. Nothing too rigorous, mind you, but an introduction to letters, numbers, shapes and colors (which she already knows the smarty pants!), and other basic preschool skills and concepts. She is an eager learner and I hope to keep it that way!
Maxton continues to grow like a little weed, and everyday I am reminded that he is quickly turning into a little boy instead of a baby. He is so delightful and so full of energy, curiosity, and FUN.
So, that should just about catch everyone back up to speed.
