This morning we got up and started getting ready for church. We also gave the kids their Easter treat. Typically, Matt and I don't make a full Easter basket for our kids. Our children know there is really no Easter bunny, so it seems a little pointless to make one. However, we do give them each a small gift (or two). This year, Adrianne received some new sunglasses and a fabric flower kit. Riley got some Legos and a fabric flower kit. We gave Emmaline a mini mermaid doll and a Minnie Mouse puzzle and Maxton got some bubbles. They all seemed pleased with their gifts.
Then we headed off to church where....
There was an egg hunt.
Which yielded lots of CANDY and even a bit of money.
There was face painting.
There was playing on the swing set with friends,
as well as wagon rides and grass to run through for the littler ones.
Needless to say, the kids had a blast.
The rest of the day was spent lounging around the house and then a web-cam session with Linda and Trevor. All in all, a wonderful way to spend a day.
