Shopping, Bats, and Job Stuff

Yesterday was a pretty hectic day. First off I had a meeting in the morning that I really couldn't miss (my MOPS group, and I'm heading up a table this year), so Matt stayed home and watched the girls while I went to it. That way Mike and Bethany would get to see the girls in the morning while I was away.

After I got back from my meeting, we all had lunch and then Bethany and I went to the grocery store. So for the moment my fridge is PACKED! But, I know that we'll soon eat everything.

Later we had dinner and then decided to go see the bats. We got there early enough to get to see them start coming out, however, although several websites had said that September was a good time to see the bats because all the baby bats born in August could now fly too, Matt and I found that we thought it was easier to see them fly out back in June when all the other Ohio crowd was here for the visit. But we still had an okay time.

Then we went back to the house to put the kids to bed and then played another round of cards. So far the boys are winning by a landslide.

Today Matt is actually at an orientation session for the substitute and tutor positions at Del Valle school district. So while it's not a full time teaching job, at least it is SOMETHING that he would be able to earn some money doing. I know he is still hoping that there will be some full time jobs posted soon, but at least this takes a little pressure off since now we know he at least has the option to get paid for something.
