This past weekend we had a wonderful time playing host to Cory and Rachel. The girls had such a blast playing with them. It was so cute/funny because the girls were constantly bugging Cory to play with them and read them stories and he willingly obliged. Riley kept wanting to play doctor with him and I think by the end of the weekend he had had at least 1000 shots! He was very patient with them. I know that one day when the time is right, Rachel and Cory are going to make GREAT parents.
Matt and I also had fun playing cards with them and just visiting in general. Rachel and Cory also treated us to a wonderful Moroccan lentil and couscous dinner. We already can't wait until they are able to come back and visit again. Rachel also took lots of pictures while she was here and I can't wait until she has some time to send them my way! (She's a VERY busy girl though, so it might take a short while before I am able to post some on here.)
Adrianne continues to progress with reading. I'm continually impressed with how quickly she has picked it all up and she's always so eager to do school. If she thinks I'm taking too long in the morning before we start, she is always quick to start asking "Mommy, can we do school yet?" or "Is it time for school now?". That kid loves to learn! Riley also looks forward to school-time. I suppose I am blessed that I don't have to pull teeth to get my kids to sit down and concentrate on finishing school.
As for my plans for the rest of the week, I have GOT to get the house in order for Michael and Bethany's arrival. They will be here in less than one week and I'm so excited about getting to see them! I know the girls are also looking forward to getting to play with them.
